INFOCOMM CHINA/BEIJING – (April 8, 2015) – Christie®, the world leader in visual display solutions, is showcasing the new Christie Boxer 4K30 projector, the brightest, lightest, smallest, omnidirectional 3DLP® projector in its class for rental staging and fixed installations, at InfoComm China 2015, April 8-10.

This marks the debut of the industry-leading projector series in the China market since its official introduction in February. With its undisputed performance and reliability, the Boxer 4K30 sets a new industry benchmark for rental staging and fixed installation applications including concerts, themed entertainment, projection mapping projects, museums, planetariums and more.

Not only does this latest Christie innovation deliver the best size to lumen output ratio in the industry — weighing in at less than 150lbs (68kg) and a brightness of 30,000 lumens — the Boxer 4K30 also ships with six 450W mercury lamps installed to simplify lamp management both in the projector and on the shelf. Additionally, it is equipped with 4K (4096 by 2160) native resolution and built-in Christie TruLife™ image processing to provide the highest bit depth and fastest frame rate for an exceptional performance.

Rental stagers will appreciate the Boxer 4K30’s omnidirectional orientation capability as this means greater installation and placement flexibility. No matter where Christie Boxer is placed and whether the projector points up or down at any angle, the image maintains its integrity and uniformity throughout the performance or presentation.
Another benefit of the Boxer 4K30 is the capability for users to monitor the lamp hours and serial numbers through Near Field Communication (NFC) with each lamp – simplifying the effort required to track lamp-life and the ability to make fast changeovers without any disruption to the show. In addition, the Boxer 4K30 is equipped with full connectivity including 3G-SDI, HDBaseT, Display Port, DVI-I, HDMI, VGA, and 5 BNC, plus a color LCD preview panel readout, and a complete lens suite.
Visitors to the Christie booth at EB1-01 can experience the outstanding 4K resolution image quality delivered by three edge-blended Boxer 4K30s on a huge screen, with contents driven by the award-winning Pandoras Box media systems from coolux.

“We’re proud to present the new Boxer 4K30 projector to the China market, which represents a breakthrough in industry standards of projection, and allows Christie to stay on top of the competition,” noted Jason Pei, director of sales, Christie China. “Not only is the Boxer 4K30 loaded with exciting new features in a small, quiet package, it is also optimized to provide an unprecedented user experience. We’re confident that the Boxer 4K30, with its ultimate combination of power, brightness, performance and durability, will be well-received by rental stagers, systems integrators and end-users.”
