Changes in Coca-Cola OOH for 2021

The year 2021 is surely a year of changes given the upheaval brought about by the pandemic.  The ripples of change extend all the way to Out-of-Home media where we note two specific changes with the Coca-Cola brand.

I used to handle Coca-Cola when I was still the OOH Strategist for UniversalMcCann, thus I have kept my eyes peeled for the changes with this brand, especially on its placement strategy for EDSA billboards.

The changes include the recent appointment of Mediacom to handle the OOH of Coke.  Among all the media agencies which used to have their own OOH unit, it looks like Mediacom has the most robust team after one year since the start of the pandemic.

The second change is the movement of the digital OOH placement of Coke from the LED screen on PET Plans Tower in Makati to GAT Tower in Mandaluyong.   Shown above is the recent placement for Sprite, and below, the placement for Wilkins.
